GLP-1 medications work best when the dose is increased gradually — this is called titration. It gives your body time to adjust and significantly reduces side effects.
Mounjaro titration schedule
Mounjaro is a weekly injection.
- Month 1: 2.5mg weekly
- Month 2: 5mg weekly
- Month 3: 7.5mg weekly (if needed)
- Month 4: 10mg weekly (if needed)
- Month 5: 12.5mg weekly (if needed)
- Month 6+: 15mg weekly (maintenance, if needed)
Wegovy injection titration schedule
The Wegovy injection is taken weekly.
- Month 1: 0.25mg weekly
- Month 2: 0.5mg weekly
- Month 3: 1mg weekly
- Month 4: 1.7mg weekly
- Month 5+: 2.4mg weekly (maintenance dose)
Wegovy pill titration schedule
The Wegovy pill is taken daily, first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
- Month 1: 1.5mg daily
- Month 2: 4mg daily
- Month 3: 9mg daily
- Month 4+: 25mg daily (maintenance dose)
Foundayo titration schedule
Foundayo is taken daily, at any time of day.
- Month 1: 0.8mg daily
- Month 2: 2.5mg daily
- Month 3: 5.5mg daily
- Month 4: 9mg daily
- Month 5: 14.5mg daily
- Month 6+: 17.2mg daily (maintenance dose)
Staying on your current dose
You don't have to go to the maximum dose. Many members stay on a lower or middle dose if it's working well for them.
Your dose steps up automatically each month as part of your plan. If you'd like to stay on your current dose, you need to tell us — get in touch through our contact form at least two days before your next dispatch date. After that point your next month's medication has already been prescribed and prepared.
Your prescriber will review your progress and side effects regularly to make sure you're on the right dose for you.
