Most side effects are mild and manageable — but there are a few warning signs that need attention straight away.
Contact us within 24 hours if you have
- Persistent nausea or vomiting that's stopping you eating or drinking
- Severe constipation lasting more than a few days
- Injection site reactions that are spreading or getting worse
- Unusual fatigue, dizziness, or low mood you're struggling with
- Blood sugar concerns (especially if you have type 2 diabetes)
Seek urgent medical help (call 111 or 999) if you have
- Severe stomach pain that radiates to your back — this can be a sign of pancreatitis
- Yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice) — possible gallbladder or liver issue
- Severe pain in the upper right of your stomach — possible gallstones
- Signs of an allergic reaction — swelling of the face, lips, or throat; difficulty breathing; widespread rash
- Signs of severe dehydration — confusion, very dark urine, dizziness when standing
- Suicidal thoughts or severe mood changes
If in doubt, always err on the side of caution. We'd rather hear from you and reassure you than have you wait it out and get worse.
